Sustrans Scotland’s School Travel team are offering up to £2,500 to schools for projects to improve their physical environment in order to encourage more walking and cycling. Ideas so far have included new bike shelters, scooter racks and lockers for wet cycling gear. Schools wanting to apply for a grant are urged to act now as the charity is only accepting applications until the 15 February 2008.
